The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reports as of February 25, 2022, there are currently 3,339 active COVID-19 cases statewide. There have been 20 deaths reported since the last report, with a total of 6,308 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Water Rates Approved

The Public Service Commission of West Virginia approved Thursday rate increases for West Virginia American Water Company customers. The 8% increase – totaling around $13.4 million – follows the company’s original request of increasing water rates by $40.5 million and raising sewer rates by $340,289.
