News Staff West Virginia senators are considering a bill that would give both parents equal custody in divorce cases. Balancing custody has come year after year in the legislature. Last year the Senate removed the presumption of 50-50 custody to give judges more flexibility. Several states, including Kentucky and arkansas, have recently passed equal custody laws.

A man is under arrest for robbing the Desco Credit Union in Ironton. He handed the teller a note demanding money and took off with about two-thousand-dollars in cash. He tried to divert police by making a bomb threat at Ironton High School.
The Pizza Hut in Danville was seriously damaged in a fire. Firefighters say it started in the kitchen. No one was hurt. At least six different fire departments responded to the blaze.
