Two people were charged with selling or illegally storing fireworks without the proper permits recently in Cabell and Logan counties. Nick Harvey of Kingsport, Tenn. was found selling consumer-grade fireworks and novelty products at a roadside display in Chapmanville in late June without the proper permits. One person is injured in an ATV accident

Emergency crews responded to a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle that trapped a person near the Mason-Cabell County line Monday afternoon. Eyewitness News said the wreck happened about 12:30 p.m. along Jenkins Creek Road. Dispatchers said one person was trapped under an ATV was freed and a medical helicopter was called to the scene.

UC student aces the Physician Assistant exam

Enoch Koo is part of the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Charleston and achieved a remarkable feat. The University said on its website that Koo achieved a 100 percent first-time pass rate on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam.
