Dunbar man pleads guilty to defrauding non-profit

A Dunbar man is pleading guilty to defrauding a nonprofit group. Walter Greenhowe admitted to using the nonprofit’s credit card from 2014 to 2018 to pocket more than 130-thousand-dollars from ATMs at various roadside gaming parlors. He faces up to sixty-years in prison.

Kanawha County employees will receive salary increase

Gov. Justice open to pay raises for state employees

Governor Justice says he’s open to pay raises for state employees and teachers. He’s also expressing caution that state officials will need to examine the longer-term financial outlook. The state revenue report is 88-million-dollars above estimates for the month, putting the state almost 270-million dollars head of estimates nearly halfway through the fiscal year.

Almost 50 WV counties in red or orange on COVID alert map

COVID-19 is spiking again in West Virginia, forty-eight of the state’s fifty-five counties are in red or orange on the state’s alert map.
