Final Trout Stocking of the Year is Set for Nov. 12

A thousand pounds of rainbow trout will be released in Kanawha County this week. The county commission said the fish will go into the Elk River and Blue Creek on Friday. The Kanawha County Commission is partnering with Indian Lake Fish Hatchery on the stocking and it will be the final stock for 2021.

Police in Charleston are investigating a report of shots fired Sunday on the city’s West Side. Dispatchers said they received a report of people in two vehicles shooting at each other before crashing and fleeing from the area near the 500 block of Roane Street.
