Union workers on strike at Cabell Huntington Hospital

More than one-thousand union workers at Cabell Huntington Hospital are on strike after negotiations with the hospital ended without a deal. The workers include laboratory and X-ray technicians as well as cleaning staff. The union wants wage increases, quality care, safe staffing and continued health insurance coverage.

CAMC extedning vaccination mandate deadline

Charleston Area Medical Center is extending the vaccine mandate deadline for workers at four hospitals. CAMC says today’s deadline is being extended while officials review final rules requiring COVID vaccinations from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Ninety-seven-percent of CAMC workers are already vaccinated.
