Police investigating shots fired on the West Side

Charleston police are investigating after reports of shots fired on the west side. Witness heard two people arguing and then shots were fired at the corner of Russell and Main streets. People were seen running from the scene, but police didn’t find a victim.

Gov. Justice signs COVID-19 vaccination exemption bill

Governor Justice is signing a bill that will allow you to decline the COVID-19 vaccination and keep your job. The bill passed in the recent legislative special session, and says companies cannot discriminate based on an employee’s vaccination status. There is a medical and a religious exemption. The bill goes into effect in ninety days.

Jobless Rate Drops

West Virginia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped two-tenths of a percentage point to 4.6 in September, and that’s the lowest rate since August 2008.
