COVID-19 vaccinations ahead of schedule at nursing homes

The state is hoping to complete COVID-19 vaccinations at long-term care facilities by next week. Officials say they are making good progress, and vaccinated more than eight-thousand people at over 70 facilities in the first week. The New River Gorge will become the country’s 63rd National Park. Congress approved the designation in year-end funding legislation. The designation is expected to increase visitation by twenty-percent.

Shots fired in WVSU parking lot

Students at West Virginia State University are off lockdown. Campus police are investigating after several shots were fired in the Sullivan Hall parking lot. One vehicle was hit three times. No one was hurt. Police are looking for the shooter.
