The Senate Redistricting Committee will be looking over maps again tomorrow. The redistricting ideas continue to flow, there now 21 different map versions to select from. As early as next week, a special redistricting legislative session could be in the works.

As expected, the Monday morning report from the state Department of Health and Human Resources included several deaths. After a weekend with no deaths reported, nearly two-dozen names were added to the growing list yesterday. The total death toll from COVID keeps inching closer to the 38-hundred mark.

Charleston’s Regatta is Coming Back

After 12 years, the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta is returning in 2022. Charleston Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin confirmed the return of the Regatta for July 1-4, 2022, according to a news release from the city. The event ended in 2009.
