KCHA Travels to Tennessee to Rescue Two Dozen Dogs

A local animal rescue group headed to Tennessee on Saturday to pick up dogs displaced by flooding. The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association picked up 24 shelter dogs in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who were displaced from Mississippi after the group Petco Love coordinated a massive evacuation of 280 dogs and 90 cats. Airports to Receive Funding for Improvement Projects

Two West Virginia airport improvement projects will receive $1.9 million in funding from the U.S. Transportation Department. U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito announced that Morgantown Municipal-Walter L. Bill Hart Field will receive $1.6 million, while Eastern West Virginia Regional/Shepherd Field in Martinsburg will receive $350,000.

New traffic pattern on Corridor G

The Oakwood road intersection project is nearly complete, and there will be a new traffic pattern on Corridor G. The design is the first “R-Cut” in the state, which is a restricted crossing U-turn. The design will create shorter wait times to reduce backups by eliminating left-hand turns onto Oakwood Road.
