Tanios’ lawyers propose home confinement

George Tanios is due in court today for a hearing to determine conditions of his release while he awaits trial. The West Virginia man is accused of pepper spraying Capitol Police during the January 6th riot. Tanios’ lawyers are asking for him to be place on home confinement with electronic monitoring.

WV COVID-19 death toll over 3,000

A dozen counties are now in red on the state’s COVID-19 alert map. Just two counties are green. Health officials are reporting 970 new cases in the past 24-hours. There are over eight-thousand active cases of the virus, and the death toll in West Virginia is now over three-thousand.

Tygart Lake levels rising

All the rain is good news for boaters at Tygart Lake. The marina will reopen this weekend. Lake levels were dropping about six-inches a day, and the marina was a day away from pulling boats out of the water. Now, the lake is up about a foot and a half.

Window shot out at Big Green Room

Three Marshall University students are being disciplined for shooting out a window with a BB gun at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. The shattered window is outside the Big Green Room. No one was hurt.
