Fifteen people arrested on drug charges in Logan County

Fifteen people are under arrest in Logan County on drug and firearms charges. West Virginia State Police say the arrests are the result of multiple investigations. They seized ten grams of crack cocaine, two-ounces of marijuana, a substantial amount of Xanax and six firearms.

Huntington Will Require Masks at City Buildings

Huntington’s mayor announced that all city employees and members of the public will be required to wear a mask in City Hall and other city buildings, regardless of vaccination status. Mayor Steve Williams cited an increasing number of positive COVID-19 cases in Cabell County as the reason.

The federal government plans to start making booster shots available beginning September 20th. Governor Justice says that’s no soon enough, and he’s pushing to get anyone older than sixty a third shot as soon as possible.

Eleven counties are red on COIVD-19 alert map

Eleven counties are red, and almost thirty are orange on the state’s COVID-19 alert map. More than four-hundred people are in the hospital with COVID, and there are over eight-hundred new cases of the virus for a total of over 75-hundred active cases in the state.
