WV ready to administer COVID-19 booster shot

West Virginia health officials say they are prepared to start administer a COVID-19 booster shot. People with compromised immune systems are already getting a third dose, and federal officials are expected to recommend a third dose for all Americans this week.

Red & orange take over COVID-19 alert map

The West Virginia COVID-19 alert map is turning red and orange. Only three counties are green. COVID-19 number are sky rocketing. There are over seven-thousand active cases statewide and more than four-hundred people are in the hospital. Twelve more people have died.

Mother & boyfriend charged in death of her 4-year old son

A mother and her boyfriend are facing charges in connection to the overdose death of her four-year-old son. The boy died after ingesting fentanyl at his home in Jackson County, Ohio. Investigators found syringes and other drug paraphernalia scattered throughout the camper where they lived.

Sheriff’s deputy shot in eastern Kentucky

A Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputy is recovering after he was shot by a man during a pursuit. The officer returned fire and shot the suspect several times. His condition is unknown. It started as a domestic incident when the suspect took off.

Only Three Counties Remain in Green on the Latest DHHR Map

State Fair of West Virginia officials say four COVID-19 cases have been linked to the event. The State Fair said on social media public health officials are at the fair and contact tracing was conducted immediately. Boone County Schools to Require Masks

Boone County schools will require face masks indoors for all teachers, staff and students in grades prekindergarten through 12th grade.
