Governor Justice is calling the 2020 Census numbers a real problem. The state’s population declined by nearly sixty-thousand over the past ten years. Justice says that if we don’t find a way to start growing, the situation will get worse. Less people means less revenue.

The CDC is now recommending that adults with compromised immune systems get a COVID-19 booster shot. The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department is to administering the booster. A special vaccination and testing clinic will be held today at the Nitro Library.

Kanawha County’s active COVID-19 cases climbed to more than four-hundred over the weekend with more than sixty new cases. At a clinic over the weekend health officials vaccinated more than 140 people, and administered over sixty COVID tests.

Harley Davidson of West Virginia dropped of supplies at the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association. Riders delivered bags of food and raised five-hundred-dollars for the association from the “hogs for dogs” event.

Two Lincoln County men are under arrest after a month-long robbery investigation. The men were found inside at auto shop at Ralph R. Willis Vocational School. Police have been investigating multiple break-ins and the theft of several thousand dollars’ worth of equipment from the facility.

A man is in critical condition following a shooting on Clayburn Drive in Cross Lanes. A suspect fled the scene and is still on the run.
