Kanawha County is in Gold on the Latest DHHR Map

Forty-five of West Virginia’s 55 counties were out of the green and six were in the red on the latest West Virginia county alert map. Kanawha County reports another COVID-19 death

Kanawha County health officials are reporting another COVID-19 death. A 61-year-old unvaccinated man died over the weekend, raising the counties death toll to 330 since the start of the pandemic. There are over three-thousand active cases of the virus statewide, and five counties are red on the COVID-19 alert map.

WV National Guard welcomes new C-130 planes

The West Virginia National Guard is showing off the first of eight new C-130 Super Hercules aircraft that will be permanently stationed at Yeager Airport. It is part of a modernization effort for the 130th Airlift Wing.

Fire destroys Kanawha County home

Fire destroyed a home on Green Valley Drive. It took more than two hours and four fire departments to put out the blaze. No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
