Man drowns in Tri-County YMCA pool

A 38-year-old man drowned in the pool at the Tri-County YMCA in Scott Depot. Workers found the man with special needs floating in the pool. They pulled him out and started CPR, but he died at CAMC.

Opioid trial could wrap up a month early

Attorneys for the big three opioid distributors say they could wrap up their case a month ahead of schedule. The federal bench trial in the lawsuit filed by Cabell County and the city of Huntington was scheduled to last through mid-August, but company attorneys expect to finish questioning witnesses next week.
