3rd $1 million winner in “Do it for Babydog” sweepstakes

There is a new millionaire in West Virginia… Heather Coburn, of Princeton, is the third one-million-dollar winner in the “Do it for Babydog” sweepstakes. Governor Justice and his bulldog personally delivered the check. There are also two more winners of four-year scholarships, and two winners of custom-outfitted trucks received the keys to their new rides.

Ark Encounter planning new attraction

The Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky, is expanding. The Bible-themed park is planning a “Tower of Babel” attraction that will take about three years to research, plan and build. The theme park features an over 500-foot-long wooden Noah’s ark.

Man arrested in Meigs County murder

Charleston police arrested a man wanted for murder in Meigs County. Twenty-one-year-old Jaquan Hall is wanted in connection to the death of former University of Charleston football player, Kane Roush, on Easter morning in Pomeroy.

Police looking for missing pregnant woman

Police are looking for a Campbell’s Creek woman who has been missing since early June. Thirty-five-year-old Joanna Hall is eight months pregnant, and is a military vet with PTSD and bi-polar disorder. She is a white female, 5’3”, and weighs about 120-pounds.

6-year old boy hurt on carnival ride

A six-year-old boy was hurt when a carnival ride derailed at the West Virginia Freedom Festival in Logan. His family plans to sue the amusement company who set up and ran the ride. The same company is setting up at the Putnam County Fair this weekend.

Work is Approved for West Side Improvements

Charleston City Council met Monday night and voted to approve a master plan that aims to improve the lives of people who live and work on Charleston’s West Side.
