Reduced pricing for liftime hunting & fishing licenses

Governor Justice is announcing reduced pricing for lifetime hunting and fishing licenses for children fifteen and younger. The tiered program gives a sixty-percent discount on a lifetime license bought before a child’s first birthday, and a forty-five-percent discount if purchased before a child’s fifth birthday.

WV American Water asking for over 20% increase

West Virginia American Water is asking the Public Service Commission for an infrastructure improvement surcharge that is part of the company’s proposal for an over 20-percent increase in monthly rates. The average customers bill would go up over twelve-dollars a month.

DNR names victim of boating accident

DNR officials say the woman who died in a boating accident on Stonewall Jackson Lake was 29-year-old Sarah Hutchinson of New Albany, Indiana. She was a student at Alderson Broaddus. Two other women were hurt, and are in serious, but stable condition. The boat operator was a 50-year-old man from Harrison County.

City of Dunbar tables possible user fee

The City of Dunbar is tabling a discussion about a possible user fee for people who work in the city. The proposal would have charged workers from one-dollar to ten-dollars a week to pay for infrastructure improvements.
