News Staff Two correctional officers at the Tygart Regional Valley Jail will pay 185-thousand-dollars to the family of an inmate who died of alcohol withdrawal. The two year old lawsuit accuses the guards of not checking on the inmate, and falsifying the watch log after he was discovered dead in his cell.
A man was killed in an ATV crash near Masontown, and a passenger was hurt. Investigators say the man who was killed di not appear to be wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the ATV.
Two South Charleston men are under arrest in connection to a theft investigation at a Boone County mine. The pair is accused of stealing a large amount of mine property from the Hobet site.
A woman was killed and two other people were hurt in a boating accident on Stonewall Jackson Lake. The driver got too close to a rock wall, and a tube with the three victims on board hit the wall. Two of the victims were flown to Ruby Memorial with serious injuries.
