HIV activists call for public health emergency

Dozens of activists formed the letters “HIV SOS” at a protest in downtown Charleston. The group is calling on Charleston City Council and Mayor Amy Goodwin to declare a public health emergency. The CDC is calling an HIV cluster in Kanawha County, “the most concerning in the United States.”

KRT bus crashes downtown

A KRT bus crashed into a car at the intersection of Virginia Street West and Pennsylvania Avenue. The bus suffered front end damage. No one was hurt.

No Injuries in KRT Bus Accident

No injuries were reported after a Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority bus was involved in a crash Saturday morning. Dispatchers said crash happened at the intersection of Virginia Street West and Pennsylvania Avenue in Charleston. The bus had a punctured tire and damage to its front side. One other vehicle was involved in the crash.
