Man leads police on high speed chase

A man is under arrest for leading police on a chase at more than one-hundred-miles-per-hour on U.S. 119 in Boone County. Officers tried to pull over the driver for reckless driving when he took off. The pursuit came to an end in Julian.

PSC approves Appalachian Power’s broadband project

The Public Service Commission is approving a plan submitted by Appalachian Power for a broadband infrastructure project in Logan and Mingo Counties. The over sixty-million-dollar project will install over four-hundred-miles of fiber optic cable to facilitate broadband access in unserved areas.

Charleston residents voice frustration with Suddenlink

Dozens of residents are voicing their frustration with the city’s Suddenlink cable service. A community meeting was held last night to gauge resident’s feeling s toward Suddenlink. It’s franchise agreement with the city ends in December. The Public Service Commission has logged nearly 19-hundred complaints against the company since 2019.

4th Grant Cycle is Open for Charleston Businesses
