COVID-19 numbers continue downward trend

Tree crushes car in Poca

A tree nearly crushed a car on Route-62 in Poca. The tree fell on a woman’s car and landed on power lines, knocking out power in the area. No one was hurt, but the car is likely totaled.

Governor Justice issues State of Preparedness

The National Weather Service is predicting that several rivers will be above flood stage today and tomorrow. Most counties are under a flood warning with another one-to-three inches of rain possible by mid-morning. Governor Justice placed fifty of the state’s counties under a State of Preparedness.

New Wildlife Center to Open This Summer in Charleston

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources plans to open its new wildlife education center this summer. Services at a county health department have been suspended after an investigation by state health officials.
