COVID-19 numbers decline

COVID-19 numbers continue to trend downward. West Virginia health officials are reporting over six-hundred-fifty new cases of the virus, and nine more people have died. Hospitalizations dropped to under four-hundred-sixty. That’s the lowest number since November.

Capito part of GOP group proposing relief plan

West Virginia Senator Shelly Moore Capito is part of a ten-member group of Republican senators proposing an alternative to President Biden’s one-point-nine-trillion-dollar COVID-19 relief plan. The senator’s proposal is considerable smaller, at 600-billion-dollars, and they believe it can gain bipartisan support.

Man shot and wounded on Nancy Street

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting. A man was shot on Nancy Street when an SUV pulled up beside him and fired several shots. Forty-one-year-old Theon Anderson was shot in the arm, and is not cooperating with police. He’s in stable condition. No arrests have been made.

Body of missing Morgantown woman found

Morgantown police have found the body of a woman who was reported missing on Thursday. Alexa Randolph’s body was found in the cargo are of her vehicle in a Walmart parking lot. The Medical Examiner’s Office is determining the cause of death.
