A West Virginia teachers union is filing an injunction against the state Board of Education over their mandate to return to the classroom next week. The union says school district that plan to have employees vaccinated before a full return to in-person learning is the responsible thing to do.

Governor Justice is creating a new program to help renters and landlords impacted by COVID-19. The Mountaineer Rental Assistance Program will provide direct financial assistance to renters who have lost their job, or whose income has been significantly impacted by the virus.
West Virginia is receiving more COVID-19 vaccine. Almost thirty-five-thousand doses arrived this week, and Governor Justice says it will be administered before the weekend is over. Additional doses will arrive next week, and Justice says the age requirement will drop to 65-years-old.
West Virginia schools will get almost 340-million-dollars as part of COVID-19 relief package from the U.S. Department of Education. The money can be used to address learning loss, testing, and to help prepare building for reopening.
