WV mask mandate upheld in court

A lawsuit to stop the governor’s mask mandate has been thrown out. A U.S. District Judge ruled that Governor Justice acted appropriately in making mask wearing mandatory.

Person injured in house fire

One person was injured in a house fire in South Point. The house on County Road-15 was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The victim is in stable condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Man leads police on chase in stolen vehicle

A man is under arrest after leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle in Cabin Creek. The chase ended when he came to a dead end on Bullitt Street. The suspect tried to flee on foot, but an officer tackled and took him into custody.

South Charleston High School principal replaced

A Kanawha County judge is ordering South Charleston High School Principal Gabe King to be replaced by Kim Williams. She was passed over for the job, despite being more the more qualified candidate. The judge ruled that she was the victim of “discrimination, favoritism and bias.”

Gen. Hoyer Plans to Transition to New Roles
