Kanawha County Commissioners completed the canvass of the November 3rd general election, tallying absentee ballots and provisional ballots. More than five-hundred additional votes were counted. The commission will certify the entire election at its regularly scheduled meeting on November 19th.

Former state Supreme Court Justice Richard Neely has died at the age of seventy-nine. He was diagnosed with liver cancer about a month ago. Neely was a member of the Supreme Court from 1973 to 1995.
