A man is under arrest in a Wayne County shooting. Sixty-year-old Wayne Brewer was found in a wooded area in Fort Gay. He’s accused of shooting and killing a man in Prichard, and leading police on a chase, before escaping into the woods.
West Virginia election officials say they will have a relatively fast turnaround for election results. More than 250-thousand early and absentee ballots have already been processed, and can be run through a high-speed tabulator and have results quickly.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office released the name of a woman who was killed in a crash over the weekend. 78-year old Nancy Wiley of Elkview died from injuries after the accident on Elk River Road South. The Kanawha County Commission is asking Governor Justice to extend eligibility requirements for the utility assistance program. Justice allocated 25-million-dollars in CARES Act funding to customers who have unpaid utility bills because of economic hardship caused by the pandemic.
