Toyota extends shutdown

Toyota is stretching a two-day suspension to a two week work stoppage to protect workers from the coronavirus. The longer shutdown is also connected to a drop in sales. Workers will be paid during the shutdown.

WV purchases 100,000 surgical masks

Governor Justice says the state bought one-hundred-thousand N95 surgical masks for 575-thousand-dollars. The masks are in short supply, and the Governor says he wants to make sure that first responders and health worker in West Virginia are properly equipped to fight the coronavirus.

Charleston shooting under investigation

Charleston police are investigating a shooting on Timothy Way. The victim was shot in the leg, and is expected to be okay. Investigators found several bullet holes in windows and cars. No arrests have been made.

Closure list is getting longer

The Governor is adding to the list of closures, he’s shutting down barbershops, hair salons, and nail salons, and he’s asking West Virginias to practice social distancing. Justice issued an executive order expediting unemployment benefits to workers affected by the coronavirus.
