The first case of COVID-19 in Kanawha County has been confirmed, bringing the total number of cases in the state to eight. The patient was exposed traveling outside of the area, and is being treated at Charleston Area Medical Center.

Toyota is stretching a two-day suspension to a two week work stoppage to protect workers from the coronavirus. The longer shutdown is also connected to a drop in sales. Workers will be paid during the shutdown.
Governor Justice says the state bought one-hundred-thousand N95 surgical masks for 575-thousand-dollars. The masks are in short supply, and the Governor says he wants to make sure that first responders and health worker in West Virginia are properly equipped to fight the coronavirus.

Charleston police are investigating a shooting on Timothy Way. The victim was shot in the leg, and is expected to be okay. Investigators found several bullet holes in windows and cars. No arrests have been made.
