The Kanawha Charleston Health Department is reporting over ninety new case of COVID-19. It’s the highest single-day total in the county. There are over two-hundred new cases of the virus statewide, and five more people have died.
Southside Bridge will be closed this weekend for repair work. The bridge will be closed starting Friday night at 9:00, and reopen Monday morning. The work is part of and over two-million-dollar bridge rehabilitation project.
The Cabin Creek Volunteer Fire Department is shut down because of COVID-19. One member of the department tested positive for the virus, and department won’t be dispatched until testing is complete. The Eat Bank Fire Department will respond to calls until Cabin Creek is back in service.
