Kanawha County Family Court To Remain Closed

The Kanawha County Family Court will remain closed after a second employee has tested positive for the coronavirus. Bear complaints are up

The West Virginia State Division of Natural Resources has received more than 16-hundred bear complaints this year. There have been several sightings in Kanawha County, and DNR is asking you remove food and other attractants from around your home to reduce the temptation.

Bars closing in Monongalia County

Governor Justice is closing bars again in Monongalia County, and this time he says it will be “indefinitely.” Photographs posted on social media show long lines outside Morgantown bars, and most people not wearing masks. WVU President Gordon Gee called it a “flagrant disregard” for community safety.

Gov. Justice says schools have PPE to open safely

Governor Justice and State Superintendent of Schools Clayotn Burch, say there is enough person protective equipment and cleaning supplies for teachers when they return to the classroom. Two teachers unions are questioning whether there is enough PPE to go around. Justice calls the claims “political garbage.”

WV receiving STEM education grant

West Virginia is receiving an over one-point-six-million-dollar grant from the National Science Foundation to increase STEM education. The money will provide scholarships for undergraduate students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
