7 more COVID-19 deaths in WV

Seven more people have died from COVID-19 in West Virginia, and there are nearly eighty new cases of the virus. That’s the lowest number of new cases in nearly a month. There are over one-hundred people hospitalized with the virus.

Man fires shots at troopers

A man is under arrest for firing shots at state troopers during a marijuana bust. Officers spotted the marijuana plants from the air, and when the trooper got out of the helicopter one man started firing at him. No one was hurt and the man later surrendered.

Beckley murder suspected arrested in North Carolina

A Charleston man, wanted in connection to a Beckley murder, is under arrest in North Carolina. Twenty-seven-year-old Tremaine Jackson is accused of shooting a man in the Pet Supplies Plus parking lot in May. Jackson will be extradited to West Virginia to face a murder charge.
