Man wanted in Ashland shooting

Police are looking for an Ashland man who shot and wounded a 19-year-old woman during an argument. She got into a car and tried to leave when 20-year-old Dwayne Kemper shot into the vehicle. She’s in stable condition. Kemper is on the run.

Toddler hospitalized after ingesting drugs

A toddler is in the hospital after ingesting heroin. The 18-month-old was found unresponsive in a Knights Inn motel room. He’s in stable condition. The boy’s mother and grandmother were in the room when it happened. It’s not clear where he got the heroin.

Man leads police on chase through two counties

A Cross Lanes man is facing multiple charges for leading police on a chase that started in the Rock Branch area and ended in a crash in St Albans. Officers tried to pull over 29-year-old Quentin Brown for reckless driving when he took off and eventually crashed.
