A second WVU football player has tested positive for COVID-19. The player will be in quarantine for fourteen-days. Other players who were exposed are self-quarantining. The football team began voluntary workouts on June 15.

Police are looking for an Ashland man who shot and wounded a 19-year-old woman during an argument. She got into a car and tried to leave when 20-year-old Dwayne Kemper shot into the vehicle. She’s in stable condition. Kemper is on the run.
A toddler is in the hospital after ingesting heroin. The 18-month-old was found unresponsive in a Knights Inn motel room. He’s in stable condition. The boy’s mother and grandmother were in the room when it happened. It’s not clear where he got the heroin.
A Cross Lanes man is facing multiple charges for leading police on a chase that started in the Rock Branch area and ended in a crash in St Albans. Officers tried to pull over 29-year-old Quentin Brown for reckless driving when he took off and eventually crashed.
