Inmate dies at Boyd county Detention Center

An inmate at the Boyd County Detention has died. He tested positive for COVID-19, but never showed any signs of the virus. The medical examiner’s office is still trying to determine the official cause of death. Inmates and staff are being tested for COVID-19.

Protestors rally at the Capitol

Dozens of people showed up at the Capitol, despite the postponement of the “I Can’t Breathe WV” protest. Demonstrators showed up to peacefully protest police brutality and call for racial equality. The group then moved to the Stonewall Jackson statue on the Capitol grounds, calling for its removal.

A protest scheduled for Sunday in Charleston was abruptly postponed. Three people hurt in Ironton shooting

Ironton, Ohio police are investigating after three people were shot in the parking lot of the “The Bar on Third.” A large group of people got into a fight when shots were fired. One person is in custody. All three victims are in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
