One person is arrested after a Huntington stabbing

One person was injured in a stabbing incident early Wednesday in Huntington. The incident was reported just after 1:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Seventh Avenue, according to Cabell County dispatchers. Officials said a man was stabbed in the stomach, but refused care from EMS. Nitro’s blighted properties program receives a boost

Nitro Mayor Dave Casebolt announced that the city has been awareded $234,000 for Phase II of the WVDEP REAP demolition program. The goal of the program is to remove hazardous or dilapidated structures, improving safety and aesthetics around Nitro. The funds will be put to use this spring as part of the program.
