WV American Water proposing rate hike

West Virginia American Water is asking the Public Service Commission for a rate hike. The average residential water customer’s bill would go up over eleven-dollars-per-month and the average sewer bill would increase almost twenty-dollars-per-month. The new rates would not go into effect until February of 2022.

The jury in the Joshua Drennen murder trial is deliberating after hearing closing arguments on Friday. Drennen is accused of killing 77-year-old Barbara Steel inside her West Side home in February 2020, and attacking a police officer with an antique iron. That officer ended up shooting Drennen. Man & woman arrested for stealing truck

A man and woman from Dunbar are under arrest for stealing a truck. Twenty-two-year-old Tyler Chapman was captured on surveillance video checking door handles, and 22-year-old Shaila Bradshaw acted as a lookout. The admitted to taking the truck and ditching it in the woods.
