WV man charged with breaching U.S. Capitol

A West Virginia man is accused of breaching the U.S. Capitol during the January 6th riots. Jeffery Finley of Martinsburg is charged with entering a restricted area and disorderly conduct. The FBI has video of Finley entering the Capitol wearing a blue suit and red hat with a wired earpiece in his right ear.

Woman shot in the leg near Clendenin

A woman is recovering in the hospital after shoe was shot in the leg in a remote area of Kanawha County near Clendenin. She had to be airlifted to the hospital. The shooting is under investigation.

Attempted robbery under investigation

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at GoMart on Greenbrier Street. A man tried to take money from an open cash register drawer, but investigators don’t think he got any cash. No arrests have been made.

Charleston Police Ask For Tips Finding a Fugitive

Charleston police are stepping up efforts to track down a long-time fugitive they’ve been searching for for several years. 31-year old Donnell Strong has outstanding warrants for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and wanton endangerment. West Virginia University will return to in-person commencement ceremonies for 4,500 graduating students in May.
