Barboursville Middle School principal fired

Barboursville Middle School Principal Brent Jarrell is out of a job. After a nearly four-hour executive session, the Cabell County School Board voted to terminate Jarrell’s contract. The school board won’t comment on what led to the firing, saying it’s a personal issue.

You can go maskless at the gym

You can now go maskless while you are exercising at the gym. You don’t have to wear a mask while you’re working out, but the new order does require you to wear a mask when you’re resting or moving between fitness equipment.

COVID-19 vaccinations slowing

The pace of COVID-19 vaccinations is slowing, and local health official are going out into the community to vaccinate small groups. More than 680-thousand West Virginians have received at least one shot, and more than 500-thousand are fully vaccinated.

Hunter shot in Mason County

Police in Mason County are investigating after a hunter was shot and wounded in the woods on Seven Mile Road. He was shot by another hunter, who took off. The victims injuries are not life threatening. No arrests have been made.
