Recent flash flooding caused some damage recently. Part of a road in Logan County was washed away with high water last Sunday. Rain caused the mudslide off Rt. 52 near Gilbert and that caused the road to buckle. Warning signs will be up until the road is repaired.
Kids will have a lot of opportunities to get outside this summer with many camps back on. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its K-9s. Dixie was a bloodhound with the sheriff’s office and died Friday at the age of eight. A man is in serious condition after being stabbed Saturday evening. Charleston Police said 38-year old Anthony Morrison was stabbed multiple times around his head and neck during an argument with Carl Foster at the Washington Manor Housing Complex. Foster is charged with malicious wounding.
