One Arrest in Charleston Stabbing

A man is in serious condition after being stabbed Saturday evening. Charleston Police said 38-year old Anthony Morrison was stabbed multiple times around his head and neck during an argument with Carl Foster at the Washington Manor Housing Complex. Foster is charged with malicious wounding.

Transgender Sports Bill Headed To Senate

Yeager Airport Considering Hangar Project

A construction project at Yeager Airport is being considered. The eight-acre property would include a general aviation hangar, box hangars, military parking area, and a terminal. The project would provide much needed hangar space and additional parking, both of which are needed.

Color-Coded COVID-19 Map Discontinued

The state’s color-coded COVID-19 map is being discontinued. Governor Justice announced yesterday that the map is no longer needed since most school staff and teachers have been vaccinated. As the map system was put to rest, only Jefferson County was at the highest ‘red’ category.

State Pushing Toward 300K Vaccinated

The number of West Virginians being fully vaccinated is inching toward 300-thousand. Another 175-thousand have received shot number one. Since December, the state has administered 9-out-of-10 doses they had available.

FAFSA Graduation Bill Voted Down

A bill before the House would have tied a high graduation to the completion of a federal financial aid application. HB-2702 was voted down. If it had passed, then high school seniors would have been required to apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid before receiving their diploma.
