A new study commissioned by the West Virginia Coal Association shows that mining and coal-fired power generation still has a 14-billion-dollar impact on the West Virginia economy. The state still has nearly 100 mines in operation.

TSA agents at Yeager Airport stopped a Florida man when they found a 9mm hand gun and a loaded magazine in some carry-on luggage. The man was briefly detained for questioning and faces federal charges for bringing a gun to an airport checkpoint.

Woman charged for shooting at vehicle

A woman is under arrest for shooting at a vehicle in Scioto County. The victim tried to get away and hit another vehicle. No one was hurt. Twenty-four-year-old Alyson Gilley is charged with assault.
