For the second time this season the Baylor women’s basketball team ran away from WVU in the second half. The Bears beat the Mountaineers 96-to-73 to end the regular season for both teams.

The South Charleston Community Center will be closed for several weeks for cleaning after it was flooded last Monday. There was nearly six feet of water in the building, and the power is still out. The city hopes to have a reopening date soon.

Huntington police are looking for a Peeping Tom. A man was spotted peering through a window in the backyard of a home at 8th Street and 12th Avenue, and then later inappropriately solicited a woman and threatened to assault her.

A Logan County woman is facing charges after wrecking her van with two kids inside. Jordan Vickers failed a field sobriety test. The two children were treated for injuries, and child protective services was contacted in the case.

Kanawha County Circuit Judge Tod Kaufman is stepping down. He submitted his letter of resignation to Governor Justice, and says his resignation will be effective at the end of the month. He was elected to the bench in 1988.

Boone County deputies completed their first “directed patrol” that targets hot spots across the county. The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post last weekend that the patrols consist of deputies working overtime shifts. The most recent patrols took place in the Jeffrey, Ottawa and Hewett areas. A worker was injured Monday in a fall in the city of Nitro. The Nitro Fire Department said the worker was working on a remodeling project in front of the fire department and fell from some scaffolding. WVU men’s basketball is the fourth seed in the Big-12 Tournament. The Mountaineers will face Number-five Oklahoma State Thursday in Kansas City in the quarterfinals. OSU upset the Mountaineers 85-to-80 over the weekend. However, WVU won their first meeting in January 87-to-84.
