Governor announces nearly 170 unreported COVID-19 deaths

Governor Justice says almost 170 COVID-19 deaths from over sixty-five healthcare facilities went unreported. Over eighty-percent of the deaths were in December and January, and the facilities did not follow reporting protocols established early in the pandemic. The error will raise West Virginia’s COVID-19 death toll close to 25-hundred.

The West Virginia Poison Center is sounding the alarm about the danger of Delta-8-THC. The product is sold as fruit flavored gummies and vaping solution. The poison center says it is not the same thing as CBD, and can be harful if you take more than one dose.

Woman charged with making threats at St. Albans middle school

A woman is under arrest for making threats toward students and staff members at Hayes Middle School. Forty-seven-year-old Kelly Winter entered the school and started screaming at school employees. The vice-principal subdued her when she approached a group of students in a breezeway. Kelly is charged with making terroristic threats.
