Yeager Airport is exploring options for a new name and logo. The airport’s marketing committee calls it a profile consider, and the new name would likely have a geographical location. There are no plans to drop Yeager from the name, but there are plans to add “international.”

WV unemployment rate falls in January

West Virginia’s unemployment rate dipped to six-and-a-half-percent in January. Unemployment fell in twenty-nine counties. There were gains in the service and goods producing sectors. The national unemployment rate was six-point-three-percent in January.

Governor Justice’s tax proposal was introduced in the House of Delegates. He calls it a once in a lifetime opportunity to transform West Virginia’s tax structure. The governor is proposing a sixty-percent state personal income tax cut, and eliminating the tax entirely within three years.
