WV will pay for ACT test

More than 340-thousand-dollars of CARES Act money will be used to pay for college entrance exams. Governor Justice says the state will pay for one ACT test per high school senior.

State revenue up in February

February was another good month for state revenue, with mover the 320-million-dollars collected in taxes last month. The state is 208-million-dollars above revenue estimates for the year.

Johnson & Johnson vaccine coming to WV this week

West Virginia health officials are expecting almost 93-thousand doses of COVID-19 vaccine this week, including over 15-thousand doses of the newly approved Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Nearly 300-thousand West Virginians have received at least one shot, and just short of 200-thousand are fully vaccinated.

Justice agrees to reside in Charleston

The long running legal battle over where Governor Justice resides has been settled. Justice has agreed to live in the seat of state government in Charleston. A judge dismissed the 2018 lawsuit filed by former state lawmaker Isaac Sponaugle, who received 65-thousand-dollars in attorney’s fees.

Flood warnings continue

The National Weather Service is extending flood warnings for some area today as water continues to rise.
