A second elderly woman has died from hypothermia in Boyd County. An 86-year old woman was found by her family in Ashland Thursday afternoon. A 77-year-old woman died from hypothermia earlier in the week.

Governor Justice is hinting that he may relax some COVID-19 restrictions by the end of the week. Justice wasn’t specific, but did mention restaurants and schools. Active COVID-19 cases dropped to below eleven-thousand, and no counties are in the “red” on the state’s COVID-19 alert map.

COVID-19 vaccination clinics are being force to cancel events, but Governor Justice says no doses will go to waste. The West Virginia Inter-Agency Task Force for Vaccines is meeting three times a day to coordinate vaccine distribution. The state is expecting more than forty-thousand first-doses of the vaccine next week.
