There is no red on the COIVD-19 alert map for the second day in a row. Twelve counties are now in the green. There are less than three-hundred-twenty patients in the hospital. That’s the lowest number since November.

West Virginia is the only state in the nation to achieve an overall vaccine administration rate over 100 percent for both first and second round vaccine doses combined. Governor Jim Justice called it a “monstrous achievement.” More than 390-thousand people have received the vaccine.

Senator Joe Manchin says he’s confident all West Virginians and Americans will believe that former President Trump’s actions leading up to January 6th were wrong. The Senate acquitted Trump over the weekend. Senator Shelley Moore Captio disagreed with convicting Trump because he is now a private citizen.

A St. Albans house fire is under investigation. The blaze broke out at a home on Ridgeview way. The homeowner made it safely, but three animals died in the fire.

A Floyd County man is under arrest for trying to burn down his parent’s home in Langley. Huntington police are investigating a shooting on 22nd Street. A 29-year-old man was shot and several bullets hit a car. He suffered non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.
