Woman sentenced to year in jail for bank fraud

A Charleston woman will spend a year in prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud and stealing mail. Thirty-six-year-old Samantha Miller altered stolen checks and cashed them at several banks around Kanawha County. She’s accused of stealing nearly two-thousand-dollars.

Greenbrier County fired ruled murder-suicide

A deadly house fire in Greenbrier County last month has been ruled a murder suicide. Investigators say 25-year-old Oreanna Myers shot her five children before setting the house of fire, and then walked outside and shot herself. Myers left a note that read, “Mental health is not a joke.”

Deadly house fire in Mason County

A woman is dead and a man is in critical condition after a house trailer fire in Mason County. The man is being treated at a Pittsburgh burn unit. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
