Over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases in WV

Health officials are reporting over one-thousand new cases of COVID-19, and twelve more people have died. There are over 29-thousand active cases of the virus, and more than 750 patients are hospitalized.

COVID-19 vaccinations on hold in Boone County

The Boone County Health Department will not receive the COVID-19 vaccine until a clinical monitoring visit from DHHR. The quality assurance and monitoring process comes after more than forty people received an anti-body injection instead of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Justice considering changes to COVID-19 map

Chuck Yeager memorial set for Friday

A memorial for Chuck Yeager is set for this Friday in Charleston. It starts at noon at the Charleston coliseum and Convention Center. The late brigadier general was born and raised in Lincoln County.

West side home burns for second time

Fire broke out for a second time at a vacant home on Homer Street near 7th Avenue. No one was hurt. A fire in December was blamed on squatters, and investigators think squatters are to blame again.

WV GOP chairwoman stepping down

Melody Potter is stepping down as the chairwoman of the West Virginia Republican Party. Her resignation is effetive immeidately. Potter says she needs to take care of her parents. Co-Chairman Roman Stauffer will take over on interim basis.

Senator Joe Manchin doesn’t think impeaching President Trump a second time is a good idea. He says lawmakers should let the legal system do it’s job and let investigations happen. Democrats introduced an article of impeachment against the President on Monday.
