One person was hospitalized after a shooting Wednesday night in Charelston. It happened near the 7-Eleven station along Washington Street East not far from the Capitol Complex. Initial reports were that the injuries were not non-life threatening. Police are investigating.

The West Virginia Department of Education is sending out surveys to each county to find out if educators plan to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Teacher’s union representatives say it is up to each individual educator to decide if they want to get vaccinated.

For a fifth straight day, there are over a thousand new cases of COVID-19 in West Virginia, and twenty-seven more people have died. There are almost eight-hundred people hospitalized with the virus. That number is down since Tuesday.
