The COVID-19 death toll in West Virginia is now over nine-hundred. Over thirty more people died in the past 24-hours. There are over 14-hundred new cases of the virus, and over 20-thousand active cases.

The Mountaineers basketball team had it’s home opener canceled this week against Robert Morris over COVID-19 concerns inside the Robert Morris program. West Virginia will make its first appearance at the WVU Coliseum against nationally-ranked Richmond next weekend.

An explosion that injured three people at a chemical plant in Belle also resulted in one fatality. Kanawha County Commission president Kent Carper confirmed the death Wednesday.
